Foothills Equestrian Nature Center

The Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE) is a nature education and outdoor recreation center offering nearly 400 acres of hiking and riding trails in the heart of Tryon’s Hunting Country.

The property includes a four-acre pond and boardwalk, nearly five miles of trails (including a hard-paved trail for the physically challenged) with informational learning stations, a restored Log Cabin, an herb and butterfly garden, and an Equestrian Center with three lighted show rings ans stabling for over 200 horses.

Family-oriented programs in nature education and outdoor activities are offered year ‘round, while the Equestrian Center maintains a full schedule in all disciplines of equestrian competition.

The FENCE Center and surrounding grounds are also available for event hosting, club meetings and retreats.
