Pacolet Area Conservancy

The Pacolet Area Conservancy (PAC) is a voluntary, not for profit, local organization founded in 1989 to protect the scenic, natural, agricultural and historic resources of the Pacolet and Green River watersheds. It is a 501(C) (3) public charity under the IRS code.

The Pacolet Area is comprised of Polk County, and portions of Henderson County in North Carolina, Spartanburg and Greenville Counties in South Carolina.

The Mission of PAC is to protect and conserve our area's natural resources. PAC works diligently providing leadership to:

• Encourage voluntary landowner conservation through the use of protective easements.

• Raise funds for the acquisition of land where voluntary easements are not possible.

• Provide education programs and materials emphasizing responsible land use practices.

The Vision of PAC is a vision of community living and growing in harmony with our natural heritage. Our goal is to provide a legacy that will endure an be valued by generations to come.
