Upstairs Gallery

A non-profit contemporary art gallery specializing in two-dimensional art, sculpture and fine craft by emerging and established artists from the

Southeast. Three interior galleries provide more than 3000-sq. feet of exhibition space and feature innovative shows that change every two months.

In addition, numerous art-related programs educate people all ages with walking tours, lectures, films, concerts, literary readings, family nights and workshops. There is a small gift shop. The Upstairs was founded in

1978 and is supported, in part, by a strong membership. The gallery moved into a beautiful new facility in 2004 in the heart of downtown Tryon. Hours are
